Welcome to our website.  I am proud and honored to be the principal of such an outstanding school.  Sherwood is located near the Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago’s Englewood community.  We service over 400 children.  Our school philosophy is “Striving to become Life-Long Learners.”  Our motto is truly each and every staff members’ goal.

We offer a full curriculum of reading, math, science, social studies, writing, physical education,  art, computer science and library science.  We also offer a full range of athletics for both our boys and girls – volleyball, basketball, dance, etc.  

We have a rich after-school and before school program not only for our children, but for our parents as well.  Our programs are focused on reading, math, character education, ROTC, Girl Scouts and computer science.
